Isle of Wight 2025
In 2025 we will start a new adventure: The Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge.
This Ultra Challenge is UK’s no 1 Trek & Trail event with distances from 10 to 100 km, which you can face as a single participant or as a team. It’s designed for all kind of running skills.
A run around the full island
From the 3rd to the 4th of May 2025, Andre will run all around the Isle of Wight, facing a distance of about106 kilometers. He will start on the „Continuous, jog / walk“ edition, which will go through the full night, but nevertheless gives enough time to run/jog/walk the distance with a pleasant speed.
But this time will be the first time, that Andre faces a distance of more than 100k on his own, (probably) without any team member joining.
As already done for the Traildorados in 2020 & 2021 and for the „Best Ager Tour 2023„, this challenge will be combined with a donation project.
Donation organisation
As already done quite often in the past, we will combine this running challenge with a donation project. With the Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge we will support the „Children with Cancer UK“ organisation. They are the leading childhood cancer charity in the UK, supporting families and childhood cancer research since 1988. Over the last 35 years, they’ve developed kinder treatments, improved public and scientific understanding of childhood cancer and raised over £300 million.
In 2025 Andre will run for this awesome organization and you can support this!
Why "Children with Cancer UK"?
There are various organizations that cooperate with the Ultra Challenge Event in UK, so there was a big amount of options. In the end it was a decision based on personal experiences from the past, that ended up in the decision to support „Children with Cancer UK“.
Andre lives in Germany but cancer does not know any borders. So since the event takes place in UK, it was an easy decision to also choose an organisation from the UK.
We are already in regular contact with them and we’re really looking forward to supporting them.
